The status of literature, library and information services cannot be improved until unless it does not execute governance of Library Committee. Library Committee is empowered to make/frame/amend the library rules and regulations. A committee means a body, consisting of some professionals who may be assigned particular powers to perform the job, such committees have got mostly advisory and supervisory powers. A Library Committee is responsible for policy making and the librarian is to implement the policy. The librarian generally acts as the secretary/convener of the committee. The librarian should prove himself as a reliable guide to the committee. The committee should not interfere in day to day working of the library except through librarian. Keeping this in view, a Library Committee has been constituted of the following officials by the honourable Vice Chancellor which is actively involved in developing the status of MGM’s libraries including Central Library:
